Here are some opportunities for becoming involved. If you are interested in any of these please contact Carolyn at balagots@hotmail.com

  • Kid Vid Leader

  • Games Leader
Prior to Bible Camp, obtain needed materials for the Games Station. A leader's book is provided to guide you in exactly what you need. During the week, you are responsible for running the station which involves lots of outdoor game activities.
  • Bible Discovery Leader
Prior to Bible Camp, obtain needed materials for the Bible Discovery Station and work with other volunteers to practice skits. A leader's book is provided to guide you in exactly what you need. During the week, you are responsible for running the station which involves bible story skits and lessons.
  • Jr High Program Leader
Lead the 7th and 8th graders in their own special activities. A book is provided, but you can also adapt for you own needs. Each day will you repeat the program twice, as there will be two groups.
  • Decorating Committee
Help us decorate the Hall and classrooms to our theme. We need lots of help in this area. It's a great opportunity for involvement for those who may not be available the week of Bible Camp.
  • Spotlight slideshow & Photographer
During camp, take pictures for two purposes. The first purpose is for a daily show called "Spotlight Drama". There is a book that lists what photos to take (for example: kids with a "thumbs up".) and then insert these photos into a provided power point slide show to present at the end of the day. The second purpose is to take lots of photos and video of all the different stations and activities to put together for a video of the week (about 20 mins in length).
  • Snacks Leader
Prior to camp, plan and shop for all the snacks for the week. During camp, lead a crew to prepare the snacks and clean up afterwards.
  • Dinner Coordinator
A great opportunity for someone who cannot volunteer during bible camp. We need someone to arrange catering and gather volunteers for our dinner on Thursday night.
  • Babysitting Leader
Prior to Bible Camp, you do not have many responsibilities. Mainly obtaining toys, playpens and the like as well as calling the parents who will be bringing babies to make sure they know to bring bottles, diapers, change of clothes etc. You will be given some helpers in the area as well.
  • Craft Station Leader
Prior to Bible Camp, obtain needed materials for the Craft Station. A leader's book is provided to guide you in exactly what you need. During the week, you are responsible for running the Crafts station which involves daily set up/clean up of the craft and showing the kids how to create it.

These volunteer opportunities are available simply by registering and indicating your assignment preference. Feel free to contact Carolyn at balagots@hotmail.com if you have any questions.

  • Crew Leader
You get to enjoy Bible Camp along with the kids. You will be assigned 5-7 kids who will be your "crew". You take them to each of the stations (snacks, games, crafts, etc.) and enjoy the activities with them. You need to enjoy being with the kids and have a great attitude about getting involved. Let your inner kid come alive!
  • Preschool Crew Leader
Similar to the crew leader, you get to enjoy Bible Camp along with the preschool kids. You will be assigned a small crew (4-5) of preschool children. You help them in all of their activities. You need to enjoy being with the preschoolers and have a great attitude about getting involved. Preschoolers enjoy their own age appropriate activities separate from the rest of camp for most of the day.
  • Assistant Crew Leader
Support the crew leader (same job description and attitude!). Only for elementary level (not preschool).
  • Station Assistant
Work at one of the stations helping the leader as needed. This can include setting up the activity, handing out items, crowd control, clean up, etc. Great choice for someone who has a specific interest. Stations include the following:
    • KidVid Cinema - Kids watch films about real kids living the real-life adventure of knowing and following Jesus.
    • Games - Out on the field fun games and cooperative "competitions". Kids run, jump and even splash. Great for someone who is active, loves being outside (even in the middle of July!) and doesn't mind getting a little wet!
    • Bible Discovery - Bible Stories come alive in this station (great choice for anyone who likes to act).
    • Imagination Station - Kids make and create in this station. Great choice for someone who loves crafts.
    • Snacks - Snacks are prepared by one group of kids in the morning and eaten by all mid-way through the morning. Helpers help prepare snacks, get them set out at snack time and clean up afterwards.
    • Babysitting - Help in the babysitting room to watch and care for the 0-2 year olds
  • Floater
Ready at a moment's notice to fill in wherever he's needed: as a crew leader, in a station, a "gopher", sorting, cleaning, etc. It could be anything. Great choice for someone who can only commit to a couple of days of camp.
  • Spotlight
Photographer during the day. We'll need candid pictures for our overall slide show as well as specific ones for our daily slide show.
  • Sing and Worship
Help with the opening and closing sessions of the day which include singing and skits. Also assist with leading songs during Friday mass.

All volunteers please plan to attend a volunteer meeting.

  • Tuesday June 11th
  • Wednesday June 19th

Remember, you only need to attend one of these meetings. Meetings are held in the Hall at 7pm.
