Volunteer
We
need station leaders and "worker bees" in the following
areas. In each area we have 1-2 station leaders who work together to plan the activities for their station.
We also assign a few helpers to help the leaders in these areas. The
station leaders repeat the activities of their station for 4 sessions.
If you really like working one on one with the kids and
would love to experience all areas of Bible Camp, then consider being a crew
leader. A crew leader has a few kids assigned to him/her and leads them to
each station helping them learn and experience God's love along the way.
(And there's no planning required...all that is done by the station leaders.)
Please Note: Guide books are provided to plan the activities.
For gifts of your treasure please see our wish
list.
If you are ready to volunteer, please go to our registration page.
| Babysitting |
Do you love working with babies? Watching our 0-2
year olds, station leaders gather needed supplies and toys and supervise the
other volunteers. |
| Preschool |
Our 3-5 year olds are so sweet and ready to
learn about God's love. Preschool leaders are in charge of
preparing a program for our 3-5 year olds. |
| Teen Program |
Love working with energetic teens?
This program should provide
the teens with activities that allow them to relax, play, learn and enjoy
one another's company. Each day you will meet two groups of teens
(repeating the activities for each session). |
| Arts and Crafts |
Cut, paste, fold, be creative! Station
leaders use the guide books as a guide to create wonderful projects
with the children. |
| Games |
Play outside with the kids. Lots of fun
and excitement. Game suggestions are provided to stay with the
year's theme. |
| Bible Adventures |
Present Bible Stories in new and creative
ways. Station leaders plan and present these stories. |
| Chadder's Theater |
Do you enjoy movies and
leading discussions? Then Chadder's is the place for you! Help
the children learn with Chadder as he takes us on another adventure. |
| Snacks |
Love to be creative with food? Snacks are
provided each day and reflect the bible point of the day.
"Recipes" are provided and the children help to prepare the
snacks. |
| Crew Leaders/ Assistant Crew
Leaders |
"Travel" with your
group of 5-10 kids to each station. Your job is to help and encourage them
with the activities at each station. No planning is involved! |
Lots of support roles are also needed to be filled. If you are not
available to lead a session or lead a crew perhaps you can do one of the following.
Support Roles:
| Registration |
(April-June) - We need someone
to do data entry.
It's a great job for someone who wants to help on their own schedule
Person needs to be organized and keep up with the incoming registrations. |
| Decorations |
(Jan-July) Each year our
decorations really "set the stage" for a great Bible Camp.
This area can definitely be shared by 2 or 3 leaders and many
helpers. |
| Publicity |
(March-June) - Make flyers, put announcements
in the bulletin. Possibly organize and man tables after church. Need a
computer literate person who is creative and enthusiastic about Bible
Camp. |
| Phone Calls |
(May-July) - We need help to get the word out
about meetings or call people when there is a problem with their
registration. You can do this at home on your own schedule but should
complete calls in a timely manner. |
| Supplies |
(April-July) - Coordinators obtain most of
their own supplies (whether borrowed or purchased with camp funds)
however, a volunteer to help coordinate the effort to obtain hard to find
items would be helpful. |
| Liturgist |
Prepare Friday's liturgy (music is taken care
of by music ministry). |
